Thousands of people scamper
from the cold northern climates
to soak up the sun on a tropical
beach. Many of them call beach

their home for the short time
they are able to get away to the
warmth nearer the equator.

add living space in holiday

nicer hotel/motel options.

and most of the amenities too.
In the Western Hemisphere,
particularly the northern United
States and Canada, when someone
thinks about sun and the beach,
they think of Florida. While
this southern state has long
been a destination for those
from the northern states, it is
still a good destination for
beach lovers. Over the past
three decades, the vacation
destinations have undergone a
tremendous building boom, so
beach rental properties are
widely available. Many travelers
are giving thought to staying on
the Gulf coast as opposed to the
Atlantic seaboard. Then there is
California, for those more
inclined to visit the west coast
of the United States. Beach
rentals are available in this
state as well, though a bit of
hunting and shopping around may
be necessary.
But those desiring to take a
holiday on the beach should not
limit themselves to the
traditional sites in the United
States. South America offers
numerous beautiful beaches that
are accompanied by some of the
most interesting and enjoyable
cultural activities in the
world. Central American
countries such as Costa Rica
have been choice destinations
for travelers as well.
