Some tips to
help you
prevent your
toddler from
having a bad
fall.

1) Don’t
let your toddler use
the top bunk of a
bunk bed..
Bunk
beds. are only safe
for children six
years and older.
2) Keep
low furniture
and chairs away from
the windows. Windows
should be
fitted with window
locks or catches.
3) Teach
your child to climb
stairs the proper
way and never let
them go up and down
the stairs on their
own.
4) Use safety
gates to stop toddlers
climbing stairs or falling
down them.
5) Use a harness
or lap belt to stop your
toddler falling from out of
the highchair or pushchair.
7) Board up any
gaps in banister
rails, as they are easy for
toddlers to climb up.
