Standard Cribs - The Top Choice Of Parents For Generations By Christina Moyer
Standard cribs have been the tried and true choice in cribs for
many generations. They may not have many frills, but they are
compatible with all decors and they maintain a traditional appeal
in a nursery. In addition to their practicality, they can start as low
as $100, making them affordable on any budget.
The Basics of Standard Cribs
Most of these cribs have a side that drops down so that your
infant can be easily lifted out. The standard crib could also
double for use as a changing surface. Cribs with drop-down sides
make it safer for parents to ease their young ones in and out
of their crib. This can especially be helpful for parents with heavier babies.
Slat openings on standard cribs make it easier to see your
precious newborn as he or she sleeps. The openings also make it
easier for your growing child to see around their new
environment. Gazing at your new baby while he or she is sleeping
is a precious time.
Standard mattresses will work on a standard crib. The mattress
that is chosen is also often compatible with toddler beds which
are the choice of many parents after their toddler has outgrown
their crib.
These cribs come in a variety of styles and finishes to meet
the needs of any family. There is a standard crib for all
nursery decors.
Extras That Exceed Every Mom's Expectations
Standard cribs, like many products, vary in the level of extras
or special features that they may have. One popular feature is
one-hand and foot-trigger drop sides. This comes in handy after
your sweet baby has fallen asleep in your arms after a feeding.
Instead of needing both of your hands, you can hold your baby
while using your foot or one hand to lower the side.
Casters that are attached to cribs make it easier to roll the bed
to a new position. This can be very useful when you are changing
the crib bedding as you can move the bed and get to all sides.
Casters also make it easier to clean the crib. If you are known
to enjoy rearranging rooms, casters are a must for you. You'll
save time and your back!
Another wonderful feature is a drawer underneath the crib.
You can't have too much storage space. A drawer under the crib
is perfect for storing those extra diapers, crib bedding, or books
and toys. You'll certainly find something to store under your crib.
Attention Smart and Savvy Buyers
Standard cribs are a smart choice for many picky consumers.
Buyers love the vast variety of cribs available to be purchased
and tend to hold on to their crib for many years and in some
cases, several children. So now you are equipped. All that is
left for you to do is to start shopping!

Cribs in the baby care industry
by James
Rizzi
Those of us who choose to offer any kind of service that involves the
care, safety and health of children take on a great responsibility.
The two main priorities are picking the right people and the right
products. I would like to talk about the latter. In this case I will use
cribs as an example.
Parents have a big enough job trying to choose the right crib for their
child. There are a lot of resources for them including some very
educational articles that you can find on this site. In the article "Standard Cribs - The Top Choice Of Parents For Generations"
By Christina Moyer
the author talks about "standard cribs" with their befits and how they
have withstood the test of many generations. These cribs seem to be the
most practical and clearly the favorite of most parents.
Baby equipment rental companies , child friendly hotels , child
care and over night child care centers want to provide these types of
cribs for the same reasons the parents would choose them.
These services have to take a few other things into consideration :
Drop sides have become a
standard in cribs. A crib with out a drop side is like having a house
without indoor plumbing. Customers expect us to have up to date
equipment. Drop sides how ever may not have the same life span as
solid cribs.
Folding cribs with casters add ease of mobility, storage and
transporting. All of which are important to baby care providers.
The crib rental industry serves as a test panel for the different
crib products. Most companies offer wooden cribs because that's what
most parents prefer to rent. parents have told me that wood just seems
to be sturdier than plastic and steel cribs give the appearance of being
cold and un-comfortable. The bottom line is wood cribs rent more than
the others.
It is difficult to find a folding drop side wood crib product
that offers all these benefits and is esthetically pleasing to the
client yet is durable enough to withstand the
amount of use rental cribs experience .
In the two years of researching this issue I have only found one
manufacturer that provides a product that meets demands of the
crib rental industry.
I have used foundations cribs. They provide products designed and
built for commercial users and they supply many distributors. The
folding drop side wood crib with casters can be found on there site in
both full size and compact models.www.foundations.com
I can tell you from first hand experience that Foundations stands
behind the products that their distributors sell .
I hope that this information helps you make the right decisions for
